Well, I just love the item. You can play along with the song so that the tempo is right on or you can play along with songs by first slowing the play down without losing "pitch" and then speeding up as you learn the notes. I bought a 2 GByte stick from a retail store (a steal) but even though the boss put their "folders" on the chip I found that it would not play the mpgs I put on it. I then found out that I needed to format the chip from the Boss first (do not do this through your computer system) and then place the mpgs into the appropriate folder on the chip. Do not attach the Boss to your computer for it is very slow. Use a card reader instead. But if you do not mind the speed then go for it. Also, be aware that it is a battery drainer. If you can, buy the adapter and use it when ever you can. Don't get me wrong, I still love the item for I can play and use the effects and drums through the headphones with out annoying anyone. But it does not play well through an amp for it gives some buzzing noice. Hmmm... who knows maybe this can be fixed on a later version. It also has a turner up to a 7 string. I also use the effects (drums) as the metronome so it basically have everything one needs for learning a lesson. Everything is great even the thought put into the packaging but the casing itself is the only thing I worry about for the plastic is very cheap and looks easy to crack. That is the only thing I can think they did wrong with the Boss hence the 4 stars.

Surprised by this very handy and feature rich Digital Recorder... I've only had it for about a week and I think it is seriously COOL. This is a very recorder for an on the road guitar composer to lay down a few demo songs and ideas. Meets all my expectations and more... It gets 4 stars only for the fact that being used to more traditional analogue recording tools this is a tough one to get use to exploiting.
