When I first got the pedal I was seriously going mad for it. I got it home and I read the instructions and all that safety things, then I set the distortion and tone and give it a half level volume. Play a bit of the Who and thought this doesn't sound good with that song. Played some Eric Clapton and some AC/DC THIS IS AMAZING! THE SOUNDS IT MADE WERE TRULY BRILLIANT. Anyway I recommend this pedal to anyone who wishes to tone the twang a little.

I got this pedal a little while ago and can't stop using it. It sounds very good. You are getting a lot for your money with this product. The tone control is nice, it allows you to alter the sound significantly. At the one extreme it produces a warm mellow distortion, that gets close to overdrive. On the other extreme it produces harsh, fuzzy almost tinny in your face distortion. My criticism of this setting is that it lacks bass, but that can be corrected by boosting the low setting on your amp. The level control on the pedal produces more than enough volume. I typically set it to just 1 quarter. Overall I would say that it is a very useful and versatile pedal. You will get a lot more out of this pedal than you will out of the lead channel of your amp. If you need distortion, this is all you need and more. BUY IT! YOU WON'T REGRET IT!

Of all the pedals out there, this is one of the best. Considering the prices of the others, this is THE BEST. It is great for any distortion playing from system of a down, all the way to Lynard Skynard. My friend and I each have one. This pedal is stupendous on peavey transtube amps. We play guitar at school, and we have all the people watching and hearing us because of this pedal. It even looks cool and is only 40 BUCKS!. BUY IT NOW.

I heard that the pedal was great so I tried it out and it's awesome. I always use this pedal. I usually play Sabbath stuff and it helped. You should get this pedal.

"Better distortion and tone than most lower-priced amps"

I have an Ibanez GRX20Z and a Crate GX15 amp. This is a good, cheap beginner's setup, but it only took me a few weeks to realize that my amp had horrible distortion and tone, and my guitar wasn't helping much. I went out and bought this pedal so I could play songs that have both clean and distortion, and discovered how great it sounds as soon as I plugged it into my guitar and amp. The distortion can go form just a little fuzz to a scream, and the tone control really can make a beginner set-up sound good. I can now produce almost any rock-guitar sound. Great for punk, grunge, and some heavier-type stuff like Metallica. I would have happily paid twice as much for this pedal.
