I own two other Blue mics (a Dragonfly and a Kick Ball), and the Bluebird is fantastic (like the other Blue mics I have). The Bluebird is not as colored as the Dragonfly or the Kick ball (both of which have frequency response curves that accentuate certain frequencies), so it's good for a lot of uses. The Bluebird has bascially become my "swiss army knife" mic, as it sounds great on just about anything I put it on! I've used it on vocals, acoustic guitar, congas, hi hat/snare, and even on an electric guitar cabinet. ALL of them sounded great! I would add a touch of EQ as needed (usually AFTER the track has been laid down) to bring out certain frequencies, and I have been super happy with the results. I may buy another one of these mics, as I could definitely use it on more than one thing at a time. All in all, a great buy. ESPECIALLY since the shockmount, windscreen and cable are all included.
