Blessing B-88 Artist Trombone OutfitB88 Trombones
B88 SeriesThe Blessing Artist trombone series with F attachment has long been the best trombone value in the industry. There is simply no other large bore tenor trombone with a bore size of .547" available that can match the B88 series with respect to price and quality. This instrument effectively fills the gap between the medium bore trombone and the bass trombone within the trombone spectrum. These instruments have all-around versatility and are very popular in the American school music scene. The yellow brass bell is 8.5" and the instrument has a tapered rotor valve. The hand slide is constructed of bronze outer rails and is carefully aligned and hand-lapped for the most precise fit possible and smooth action.

I bought this trombone as a step up from a Holton collegiate. The instrument is gorgeous, the sound is big and dark, but this horn is so heavy, I just couldn't deal with it. I got too tired holding it very quickly. Also, the spring in the slide took some getting used to. If you pulled the slide all the way in, you'd hear it, and the slide would bounce when you brought it all the way in. I ended out returning it. Again, beautiful sound but too heavy.
I have played a lot of fine instruments, but this is the one I favor the most. It has a wonderful sound and great intonation. This is the best instrument for any up coming student in the art of music. To anyone who may purchase this instrument you will not be disappointed!!!
I've had this trombone for 2 years and have been playing trombone for 5 years. This trombone has great tonal Quality. You will LOVE IT!
I don't think there is a better price/performance out there. Sure, this isn't a Conn, King or Bach; and it doesn't come with that price tag either. This is certainly a perfect bone for the intermediate student or parttime amateur player. I've play jazz and classical with mine, in a large church (700+ capacity) setting with great results. The rose bell (which I highly recommend) gives the horn a nice mellow balance with even projection. Lows are solid, balanced and won't crack. The mechanics of the horn (slide and rotor) have been flawless. I've played this horn from BBb to Treble D. Try these mouthpieces for the high and low end, Schilke 47 and Yamaha Doug Yeo Replica.
The Blessing B-88 trombone is a very good trombone, very reliable. The trigger is freely moving and there isn't much of any noise when using it.
