I found this stuff from a friend, and it is the only valve oil I have used since. It works well on your valves, and lasts for a long time. The package clearly states to "only use one drop" because of it's special formula. This is true, you only need one drop(which also saves money), and too many can result in stickiness. The only down side is that you have to completely wash your valves before use.

I like it because it does not creep into my valves, or slow them down.

I have mixed feelings about this oil. I rarely have to oil my valves with this oil, and very little is needed at each application. Although my valves move smoothly, they don't move as quickly as with other oils that I've used.

On my trombone, binak 495 which covers the inner slide picks up the breath moisture so you do not need to spray water on the side using this product. On my Jupiter 470L euphonium this product when used as directed (one drop spread on each clean piston), causes a smooth lubricated " spongy" feel different from other oils. I dislike the piston bounce noise so this oil does both, lubricates for a long time and dampens piston noise. By how much you put on the valve YOU determine the piston action and feel. While the maker of the Jupiter euphonium recommends Blue Juice, the Blue Juice gives greater piston noise. At the price of Binak per bottle that lasts all year, you really should give the product a try. I like the idea of just picking up your instrument and playing rather than lubricating the pistons every day.

I have a euphonium with tight valves, a King 2280. I used to have to take the valves out and clean them every two weeks. With BiNaK, I have not had to clean the valves in almost three years. They do not get slow or stick, as with every other oil I tried. A couple of friends with Yamaha euphoniums had the same positive experience. I also use it on the rotary valves of my large-bore tenor (F attachment) trombone and my bass trombone. My experience is that it works fine even if you do not clean the valves first.
