I am somewhat hard of hearing. My old VCR had a headphone jack, which I used to listen to the television without disturbing others in the household. When the VCR failed, the one with which I replaced it did not have such a jack. I needed something that would pick up the audio signal between the VCR and the TV set, amplify it sufficiently for my headset, and provide a volume control. The Micromon MA400 did this very nicely, and I am very pleased with it. The only change I would make would be to provide a miniature stereo jack for the Monitor Input. I had to purchase an adapter.

I got 1 of these for amp my in ears as a personal monitor playing at church, and it is great!! now i got 6 of these of every musician of my band, the guitar player plug his guitar in it (monitor input) and the monitor mix in (mic thru) so hi can control volume o mix and his guitar, pretty cool , and great price.

The MA400 meets a very critical need in our Cubase project studio. The "More Me" factor in monitoring when recording. The players can control what they hear relative to the total mix and their own instrument mix. The quality of construction is very good. We have 4 of these and not only for the price, but for the control they bring to our sessions, we are very happy with the MA400.

I purchased one of these units for my home studio's vocal booth, and did not seem to work at first, but it turns out it doesn't work with a mic that uses 48v Phantom power, and woked well with a non-powered mic. I'm not sure if it's just the unit that I have or if they all work this way... Unforunitlly all of the mics in my studio are powered... more information is nessasary from Behringer, they got some "splaining" to do!

I've never used a personal monitor before and wow what a difference. It was really great being able to hear my vocals so clearly and still have a monitor mix. The duel volume controls are great.
