Really nice horn for the money. Looks beautiful, plays really well, and sounds great! Nice valve action and the third valve trigger works well. You could easily spend twice the money and not get the quality you'll find in this horn. Great value.

Received my new horn last week w/ added mouthpiece, Denis Wick 2FL. Wick was much deeper than stock mouthpiece and provided deeper, richer tone. More touchy and not as easy to reach higher registers. Horn looks great with rose colored bell and silver and brass trim. Case a little flimsy but OK. Polishing cloth and cotton gloves included were a nice add on to help maintain the classy appearance of this instrument. Comparison with people who have Flugelhorns of other makes revealed Kinstul, a heavier horn (US mfg) played easier. Conclusion was that for me, the Barrington Horn is just what I wanted, a nice looking horn with satisfactory sound quality and mechanics to provide me with lots of pleasure for playing locally in community bands, and local Pops Orchestra.

This is a good horn for the price. This is an economy model, so don't expect professional quality.
