I bought this thing hoping to get a frickin sweet bass sound, and thats exactly what I got. I plugged it in and it took me 2 minutes to get the settings I wanted. My tone is a mix of Ian Grushkas and Mark Hoppus'. I love the highs and the lows, and with the bass xciter I got just that. Buy one, but make sure you buy a power adapter this thing eats batteries.

WHEN I STARTED TO DOWNSIZE MY RIG FOR MORE PORTABILITY, THIS PEDAL BECAME VERY USEFUL. I NOW USE A SINGLE 15 BAGEND CAB(VERY SMALL AND LIGHT, BUT SOUNDS GREAT). THIS PEDAL KIND OF WORKS LIKE A SONIC MAXIMIZER, BECAUSE YOU CAN INCREASE MIDS AND HI'S, ROUNDING OUT YOUR TONE, WITHOUT STRESSING YOUR SPEAKER. IN OTHER CASES, IT CAN BE USED TO BRING UP LOW END, WITHOUT SPEAKER STRESS OR MUDDINESS. ALL AROUND TONE FIXER. GLAD I BOUGHT IT.

This little box does everything that it advertises. A real must for smaller rigs and combos, kind of like MSG for the electric bass, enhances the flavor without adding color.

This is a really useful pedal. I have used it to beef up my sound and it does that without any trouble. That's what you want...no fuss. Incidentally if you use the wet DI into front of house people will start coming up and asking you about your gear. Believe me, it certainly brings the bass out front in the mix. Worth every cent.

I can't play without this thing. It's one of those pedals that once you start using it, you can't go back to the way it was before! I thought my bass sounded fine, until I plugged in this pedal. It added a lot of warmth and depth, but also clarity. Now, if I DON'T have it patched in, I always feel like "something's missing"! I highly recommend this pedal.
