"A full range portable cabinet."

I just picked up an SVT5-PRO head and this SVT410HLF cabinet. After playing my 5 string through an Ampeg BA115-SP for the past year I can't believe the full range I'm getting out of this set-up. Not a hint of distortion at any volume. The first night of rehearsal with this cabinet had things vibrating off the shelves in the studio. I'm not sure what cabinet I want to add to my stack now. I'll probably buy another SVT410HLF for bi-amping. It's too bad Ampeg doesn't have a single 15" cabinet with the extended range porting. Any ideas?

There's not a lot to add to what the other reviewers have written except to agree wholeheartedly with their praise for this compact monster. This is my first head/cab after using combo's until now. I had thought that Ashdown was the way to go until I tried out the EVO series and found that I was getting distortion way before I expected it. With the Ampeg SVT410 there is nothing but pure punchy clear sound. I use an Ampeg SVTPRO3 head and I play all styles from pop 'n slap to pure rock picking and this baby handles it all at volumes which surely contravene airport noise reduction regulations! I love this cab and like the others, if I ever buy another, it'll be one of these. You owe it to your bandmates and audience. GET THIS CAB NOW!

I bought one 6 months ago, and absolutely love it! Without a doubt, professional quality that is unmatched. Low end is killer with no distortion. Horn range makes slapping and funk simply amazing. Makes me sound better than I am, and is a perfect match for the Ampeg B2R and Jazz Bass that I gig with. I will play this for the rest of my career! It is a little heavy, but the wheels and tiltback handle make it worth the load. You will never part with this cabinet!

My experience with this cab is amazing. I bought it about 4 months ago, and I can't believe I got along without it! Our band was recording with this and the sound I got out of it with my Ibanez EGD was incredible. The most note worthy thing was the cab's response when I played a little slapping funk. The triplets were so clear and precise it was amazing. BUY THIS CAB YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!

I bought a Gallien Krueger backline 4X10 to go along w/my backline head and surprisingly it couldn't handle the bass, it would distort with the head up half way. I took it back and fell in love with this ampeg cab b/c it has great low end for a 4X10. It still has that great ampeg tone and definition of the ampeg 4X10E but with more low end. If I ever need another cab, I'm buying another one of these!

Right now, I feel I never want to purchase another bass cab. I've played many 4 10"s in my search that didn't have the same low end, I've played many 15"s that don't have the punch or the presence. This cabinet does it all. I was also very pleasantly suprised that this cab didn't distort at extreme volumes, just sounds full/punchy/fat and great!!!!

Got this cab about a month ago and what a deal and sound! It's matched with the 350SVT head and provides the deep low end. I know have the stuff to hang with the band mates.

"Massive low end!"

This cabinet will handle absolutely everything, from the "low B" of my 5-string to the very highest note of a 6-string. And not only does it handle it well, it handles it with punch and clarity. Even at its peak volume (which I can assure you is extremely loud), it shows no signs of distortion. The only downside is that it's pretty big and heavy. But with the handles, casters, and rollback bar on it, it's really not a problem. If you play the same type of stuff I do (rock and metal), or you want tremendous low end, then do yourself a favor and get this cab: you'll never look back.
