This is a really good horn for any student. It has a great tone, valves don't stick, and it looks good. The only problem that I had with it was trying to get it in tune. It wasn't to far off. Other than that, a great horn!

I am a professional low brass player and teacher and unfortunately, some of my students play this model (school band rentals). This horn is NOT recommended! Most I've played/heard are built quite flat, to the point that the low Bb partial is really closer to an A. They also feel and sound stuffy, which can be very demoralizing to a young student. The valves are decent, but expect them to deteriorate after a year or two. Band directors BEWARE! I know the price is right, but you will get what you pay for!

I have been playing Baritone for 4 years in middle school and high school, I am currently second chair baritone in the all-county band. I am in 9th grade and I am in first chair in my band, in all my years (a whole 4 lol ) I have never played such a soft sounding instrument and then turns around and produces a huge burst of energy and liveliness fit for the football field!
