This is one great guitar, and an outstanding value. The tone of the guitar is nice. I especially enjoy playing the lower register on this guitar because the bass is so clear and resonant. The case that comes with the guitar is nicer than you would ever expect to come standard with a $200 guitar. It is fully lined and even has a cubbyhole to store picks, tuners, etc. I am extremely glad that I purchased this guitar.
I have several guitars including a fantastic Fender and Martin. I compare this RD8 to be right up there with them. The value I could not believe. The sound is "terrific!" I even plan to get another and give as a gift. Would not surprise me if Clapton had one!
This is the best guitar you will find for the money. I went to my local guitar shop yesterday to try out some Tacoma guitars. The whole time all I could think was how sad it was that my two hundred dollar Alvarez played just as good, if not a little better than, the 1100 dollar Tacoma that I was playing. It isn't the fanciest or nicest looking guitar, but if all you want is something plain that is cheap and plays great than this is the guitar for you.
