I purchased this guitar not too long ago through Music123.com, and I must say that this guitar is a steal. Especially if you get it from this site. The low action makes it really easy to play, and the sold spruce top along w/ other quality features give the guitar a nice crisp, yet bold sound. I have jammed on Taylors and Martins, but this guitar, and pretty much anything else made by Alvarez, stands right up there with those big name companies. Get this guitar and you won't be disappointed.

I went browsing today for acoustic guitars and such and I must've played 10 different guitars and this one was definitely the best. Now I'm not all that on acoustic, but from what I saw today, this guitar is the all around best buy and you definitely get your money's worth.

My first guitar was a Alvarez RD8, amazing guitar with great tone. I bought this guitar, and it is a few notches up (better). The tone is very clear, and nice. It puts put the perfect amount of bass for what I listen to. It is also very loud, so to lead solos it is very nice and clear. GREAT GUITAR, highly recommendedSongs/Bands I cover ( Dispatch, Jack Johnson, Incubus, Led Zep, Neil Young, ect)

I just want to preface this review by saying I think this guitar is worth much more than it is priced at. Now that I've gotten that out of the way, the only problem with this guitar is that it needs to be kept in a climate controlled room. I live in Massachusetts and during the winter my house can get pretty cold. Once the guitar is left in a cold room to long, the higher notes on the high E string will be muted. Other than that I've had no problems with the Alvarez.

My friend had me pick him out his 1st guitar & this one is the one I picked & WOW. $219 for this guitar is WELL worth the money. I'd put it right up there with my $380 Fender acoustic, NO KIDDING. You won't learn very well playing on a crappy guitar so spend a little cash. If your a moderate player I would still HIGHLY recommend this guitar to anyone. Truthfully I feel like Fender robbed me now. Gave this guitar a FIVE star rating for this price range.
