This guitar is a good guitar. It has a solid top, which is a definite plus. It comes equipped with Elixir strings, which in my opinion are the best strings you can get. This guitar is very bright and loud and the tone is great. It also looks great in person with the gloss finish and the white binding. The neck is satin finished and the body is gloss finished. This is a good guitar all around.

It has a rich, ringing sound, all the strings come through while playing a chord. I've played guitars costing several hundred more, and they seem muffled and contained compared to this Alvarez. The guitar is beautiful, a well bookmatched top is glossed to a mirror-like finish, contrasted by the dark fingerboard. The body is accented with abalone around the soundhole and binding, with a lone diamond inlay at the twelfth fret. This is a great guitar for the price. It sounds and looks beautiful. In 2 Words.... This was the first time I purchased a guitar on-line. I was concerned about buying a guitar on-line without being able to hear and feel the guitar first. Alvarez continues to slam the guitar world with outstanding quality at an affordable price. No other guitar in it's price range can compete for sound and quality. I own high end guitars but for the money, this little instrument strums right up there with them.
