This mute is awesome. It provides a great sound and is very durable.

This straight mute is an all-around great mute. Of all the reasonably priced mutes, this mute provides excellent distortion-free sound in the high and medium register and is the only one that produces a good sound in the low register. The mute is a much more durable than most aluminum mutes. It doesn't dent as readily as most others. The mute corks are also very sturdy and glued securely to the mute body. The neck of the mute is beveled. This important feature, missing in most mutes, keeps the neck from being dented and reduces the chances of mute dings on the trombone bell.
