I recently began teaching myself fingerstyle, and so began my search for the best finger picks. I read a lot of positive reviews on thee Alaska picks in various musician sites, so I figured I'd try 'em out. What I like best about these Alaska finger picks is how they fit snug beneath your natural finger nail. This gives the player a natural finger nail feel without having to grow them longer than your wife or girlfriends (if your a guy, that is). I liked how they felt as I played, but what happened is they began to snag on the strings. One of them now has a small "ding" on the tip which snags the strings now. So.....These Alaska picks are good... but, in my experience, nickel is the way to go
