The A Designs 500HR is a no-nonsense 1U rackmount chassis for your 500-series preamps or other modules (compressors, EQ, etc.). I found it very easy to install my pair of A Designs P1 preamps, although almost any other 500 series preamps should fit as well. It does what its supposed to do and feels like it should last forever. After I filled up my API lunchbox, this is exactly what I needed to expand.
