This pedal is good for my one dimensional style of music, aka METAL. I like it. Very heavy, but the distortion is natural sounding on most modes.
As the guy said before me, this is a very metal pedal. I was looking for something that could cover a little more ground. I have a fender twin reverb 85 watt tube amp, and this pedal was just tooo much for it. This was the most intense hard raw distortion I have heard. It also was loud as hell. I would put my amp on MAYBE 4 and I could easily be heard over the drummer. If your looking for something that is crazy intense metal then get this. It also has a few cool effects, like some delay stuff. But it is pretty expensive for a pedal, so, if you have the cash, love anthrax, and are just dying for hard core pedal screaming metal, then get this puppy. I think if it had a gain pedal I would have liked it, but unfortunately it didn't, and I will be returning it within the next few days.
